Rainbow Blood
When images of the bloodied noses of a young lesbian couple attacked on a London bus in 2019 spread globally, including in Ireland, they revealed a harsh truth: anti-LGBT+ violence is still widespread. In Ireland, 1 in 5 LGBT+ young people have been physically attacked because of their sexuality, and 73% feel unsafe at school.
In partnership with Belong To Youth Service, we launched Rainbow Blood for Pride Month, echoing the imagery of the attack to turn a moment of violence into a call for change.
